I'm Anna Little.
A videographer, self-shooting director, qualified broadcast journalist and international development filmmaker with more than 25 years of experience.
As a videographer I film for a range of clients including charities, corporate clients and development organisations.
As a shooting producer/director I have made films for BBC Studios, production companies and development organisations including the UN, World Bank and the ICRC.
As a video journalist I’ve worked for the world’s largest media organisations including Reuters, APTN, CNN and the BBC. For a decade I lived in Africa and Asia, in some of the world’s most repressive regimes.
I strongly believe in sharing what I’ve learned and since 2014 I have been designing and delivering media training, predominantly for BBC Media Action. I also volunteer as a senior mentor for the Women in Journalism network.
I hold a BSc in Environmental Studies and a MA in Media Practice for Development and Social Change.

I’m Anna Little
A videographer, self-shooting director, qualified broadcast journalist, filmmaker and media trainer with more than 25 years of experience creating films that inform, inspire and make a difference.
I work with charities, corporate organisations, broadcasters and international development agencies, producing engaging films that connect with audiences. Alongside filmmaking, I also provide camera training, video journalism training and media skills training, helping individuals and organisations build practical skills and confidence behind the camera.
Filmmaking & Broadcast Journalism
For more than two decades I’ve filmed, produced and directed stories around the world for organisations including BBC Studios, the United Nations, the World Bank and the ICRC, as well as broadcasters including the BBC, Reuters, CNN and APTN.
From documentaries and corporate films to international development projects, I specialise in transforming complex ideas into engaging, impactful stories that resonate with audiences.
As a self-shooting producer/director, I manage every stage of the filmmaking process, from research and scripting through to filming, directing and editing.
Camera Training & Media Skills
Since 2014 I’ve been designing and delivering camera training and media skills training around the world, predominantly for BBC Media Action.
Whether you’re new to filming or looking to develop your confidence, I offer practical, hands-on training for individuals, charities, businesses, production companies and media organisations. My approach combines real industry experience with supportive coaching, helping people develop both technical skills and the confidence to tell compelling visual stories.
I’m particularly passionate about encouraging more women behind the camera and supporting the next generation of storytellers.
Environmental & Development Filmmaking
With a BSc in Environmental Studies and an MA in Media Practice for Development and Social Change, I’ve produced films focusing on climate, sustainability and humanitarian work for organisations including the United Nations, World Bank, WFP and UNIDO.
My goal is always the same: to tell authentic stories that inspire understanding, engagement and positive change.
Legacy Films
Everyone has a story worth preserving.
Alongside my broadcast and commercial work, I create professionally filmed legacy interviews, giving individuals and families the opportunity to capture memories, experiences and life stories for future generations.
