Conversations that matter.
I know that everyone has a fascinating life story and I love to capture them!
During my professional career I have interviewed thousands of people for my stories and films.
But I realised that outside of my field of work, most people are never given the opportunity to have a filmed recording of their lives.
It made me wonder about my parents’ lives and so I decided to start interviewing them. I discovered things I never knew and this inspired my mission to give everyone the chance to capture their memories, thoughts and experiences, so that they can share them with family and friends.
Whether you’re reflecting back on your life, or if you are towards the end of your life, I would like to give you the opportunity to have a filmed recording of your life story. We could sit down with a cup of tea at your home, or a place that you love, and have a relaxed conversation.
To help you feel at ease we will have a chat ahead of the filming day where we can discuss some of the things you would like to talk about. I can also provide you with some questions for you to ponder before we record.
On the day of filming we will find a comfortable place for you to sit, I will set up the camera and we will make sure you are feeling relaxed. There will be no pressure, we will take it at your own pace and the discussion can be led by you.
You would then receive an edited recording of the interview on a memory stick for you to share with loved ones, for posterity, so that they will know their history, through yours.
Please get in touch if you would like to chat about a legacy film. I charge a minimal fee so that everyone gets the chance to tell their story.
Legacy Interviews
Everyone has a story worth telling.
My legacy interviews give you the opportunity to preserve your memories, experiences and life lessons in a professionally filmed conversation that can be treasured by family for generations to come. More than photographs or written memories, a filmed interview captures your voice, personality and the way you tell your story—creating something truly lasting.
Preserve Your Life Story
As a broadcast journalist and filmmaker with more than 25 years of experience, I’ve interviewed thousands of people from all walks of life. I know how to ask thoughtful questions, listen carefully and create a relaxed environment where conversations flow naturally.
Whether you’d like to reflect on your childhood, career, family life or the experiences that shaped you, every legacy interview is tailored to you. There are no scripts and no pressure—just an enjoyable conversation at your own pace.
What to Expect with Legacy interviews
Before filming, we’ll have a chat about the stories you’d like to tell and any subjects you’d rather avoid. On the day, I’ll film in the comfort of your home or another meaningful location, creating a calm and informal atmosphere where you can simply be yourself.
Afterwards, your interview will be professionally edited and presented as a beautiful film that can be shared with family and preserved for future generations.
A Family Treasure
Time passes quickly, and it’s often only later that we realise the questions we never asked. A professionally filmed legacy interview allows future generations to hear your voice, see your expressions and understand your life through your own words. It’s a meaningful keepsake that families can revisit for years to come.
Why Choose Me?
Throughout my career I’ve worked for organisations including the BBC, Reuters, CNN and the United Nations, telling authentic human stories with empathy and care. Every interview is approached with sensitivity, curiosity and respect, helping you feel comfortable enough to share the moments that matter most.
