I qualified as a broadcast journalist in 2001 and have worked for many of the world’s leading media organisations including the BBC, Reuters, APTN, CNN, Al Jazeera, Channel 4 News, The Guardian, Euronews. ABC, CBS, Sky and ITN.
I’m inquisitive, versatile and proactive with an empathetic journalistic style that allows me to quickly gain the trust of contributors. I have expertise in producing stories from start to finish, juggling many roles at the same time including shooting, interviewing, recording audio and directing.
For a decade I lived in Myanmar, Ethiopia and Eritrea as a video journalist where I researched, produced, directed and shot hundreds of stories and films. I worked in challenging situations and conditions but thrived on the adventure, with a determination to tell stories that matter.

I’m passionate about telling authentic human stories that inform, educate and inspire. My journalistic work has covered social affairs, environmental issues, humanitarian projects and international development, always focusing on accuracy, empathy and meaningful storytelling.
Alongside my practical experience, I hold qualifications in Broadcast Journalism, Environmental Studies and a Master’s degree in Media Practice for Development and Social Change, giving me specialist knowledge of environmental and development reporting.
