I am a self-shooting producer/director with expertise in the entire storytelling process from originating ideas, to researching, casting, producing, scripting, shooting and directing on location. From decades of experience I know how to craft stories that resonant with target audiences.
Out on shoots I can confidently juggle multiple roles including filming, sound and directing. I also edit produce, taking my films through a fast-turnaround offline AVID edit.
I am a self-contained, bullet-proof package able to deliver high quality material. I always work with the attitude that anything is possible, as long as you plan well and are open to dealing with curve-balls.

With more than 25 years of experience in television, journalism and documentary filmmaking, I work as a shooting producer director, taking projects from initial concept through to final delivery. I combine editorial expertise with hands-on filmmaking, managing every stage of production including research, producing, scripting, filming, directing and editing.

As a self-shooting producer/director, I deliver complete productions independently, creating engaging, story-led films for broadcasters, charities, businesses and international development organisations.
My work has included productions for BBC Studios, the BBC, Reuters, CNN, APTN, the United Nations, the World Bank and the International Committee of the Red Cross (ICRC). Whether filming a current affairs investigation, documentary, charity campaign or corporate production, my approach is always rooted in authentic storytelling and strong editorial judgement.

Alongside my practical experience, I hold qualifications in Broadcast Journalism, Environmental Studies and a Master’s degree in Media Practice for Development and Social Change, giving me specialist knowledge in environmental, humanitarian and international development storytelling.
